Greetings, Request Network community!
Welcome to the Ecosystem Update for September 2025, a regular overview of the Request Network Foundation’s progress, featuring the latest developments in crypto payments, invoicing, and onchain detection through our plug-and-play API.
This edition includes production updates, such as smart accounts with batched approvals and payments, and the addition of new builders to the Request Network ecosystem, among many other topics.
Before we start, if you want help to integrate today, don't hesitate to book a call with us.
TECH UPDATES
September focused on two themes: better developer experience through simpler payment flows and production fixes that improve accuracy and visibility for finance teams building on the Request Network API.
Request Checkout and Payment Widget Upgrade
In September, the tech team upgraded the Request Checkout and Payment Widget to use the Request Network API instead of the Request Network SDK.
Request Checkout now serves as an example for App Builders who want to integrate the Request Network API, which is much easier to integrate than the SDK.
The Payment Widget now supports full customizability out of the box, as it is distributed via a new Request Network UI registry using the shadcn CLI, rather than the old, inflexible NPM package.

Payment Widget Upgrade
To support these changes, we added Client ID authentication to the Request Network API. This means that App Builders can now create checkout platforms and issue Client IDs to their respective merchants so that each merchant.
New Endpoint for Querying Payments
In September, the tech team built a new endpoint in the Request Network API for querying payments, especially for understanding payments within a batch transaction and for viewing detailed fee breakdowns and amounts in USD.
Supports:
Query payments by Request ID.
Query payments by Wallet Address.
Query payments made via any app that uses Request Network.
Benefits:
This feature most directly benefits Accounting Apps (or any app that needs detailed fees and USD amounts)
See the Documentation for details: https://api.request.network/open-api/#tag/v2payments
Other improvements
Small inaccuracies compound at scale. The team prioritized several changes that tighten precision and visibility.
Crosschain payment fixes are live - we fixed a bug where crosschain routes would be displayed even if the payer had insufficient funds to cover the associated fees.
Recurring Payments - We fixed a bug where the API mistakenly allowed creating recurring payments with the same payee and payer addresses.
EasyInvoice Dashboard now displays the totals more precisely, per currency. The previous dashboard displayed an incorrect total in USD across mixed-currency invoices. EasyInvoice now displays separate totals per currency, ensuring accurate reporting.
Documentation revamp
Behind the scenes, we’re preparing an improved Documentation experience for the app builders and devs in our community. We’re focusing on two main improvements:
Custom landing page and interactive demos to accelerate the viewer’s understanding of Request Network.
An interconnected mesh of links that will immediately guide viewers to the section of interest.
This involves migrating away from Gitbook to Mintlify as the documentation hosting platform, making the docs easier to maintain and faster to update.
The documentation will be organized by use case and API feature for clearer navigation.

The routes endpoint reporting the wrong chain name has been fixed.
TECH UPDATES
The Request ecosystem is expanding with new builders joining the protocol, bringing product integrations focused on real-world financial operations.
Welcome new builders on Request Network
Kryptos Enterprise adds invoicing powered by Request Network API
Kryptos announced its Enterprise solution for invoicing. With 100,000 users and 100+ companies, Kryptos focuses on treasury management, payroll automation, and AI-driven finance, while Request Network provides automated invoicing at scale.

Kollect by Kreatorverse is live
Kollect provides stablecoin payments for e-commerce through a single API. Every transaction is recorded onchain for reconciliation and audit readiness. Start with core checkout, then enable crosschain, recurring, batch, and partial payments as your needs evolve.
Early users receive three months of free access. Read more in our intro blog post, or directly visit Kollect’s page.

“Web3 Accountant Meet” at TOKEN2049
Request Network sponsored and co-hosted a practitioner-focused session on the state of crypto finance operations.

Topics: real-time onchain subledgers for reconciliation and auditability, practical guidance on accepting stablecoins, and what auditors, investors, and tax authorities are asking in 2025.
Panel: Tristan Wallaert (Request Network), Matthew Lovatt, (Deloitte), Punit Agarwal, founder of KoinX, Sunny Singh, (Gnosis HQ), with the panel moderated by Wei Xiang Chan.
Takeaways:
Stablecoins can be accepted today if builders match the asset choice to operational and regulatory needs.
The hard part is source-of-funds transparency, not the payment itself.
Best practices include:
Payer verification
KYT (know-your-trasaction) checks on every payment
Sound governance through multi-signature wallets

The total number of burned tokens is now 582,403 REQ.
