What about these Terms & Conditions?

These Terms & Conditions (hereinafter the “T&Cs” or “Terms and Conditions”) govern your access to and use of the Protocol, the Request Network API, and related services (hereinafter the “Services”) provided by the Request Network. The Services include, but are not limited to: (a) access to and use of the Request Network API for creating, tracking, or managing payment requests on-chain; (b) related documentation, developer tools, SDKs, and webhooks; (c) integrations enabling payment tracking, off-ramping, cross-chain routing, or third-party routing; and (d) any enhancements or additional services provided by Request Network now or in the future.

By using our Services, you agree that you have read, understood and accepted all of the T&Cs, the Cookie Policy (https://request.network/cookiepolicy) and the Privacy Policy (https://request.network/privacypolicy) incorporated herein by reference and amended from time to time. You must not use the Services if you don’t agree with those terms. You are responsible for ensuring that all persons who access or use the Services through your device, company account, or internet connection are aware of those documents and that they comply with them.

Request Network reserves the right to amend or otherwise modify these T&Cs at any time. In such cases, Request Network will appropriately inform you of these changes. Such changes will only affect our relationship in the future. The continued use of the Services signifies your acceptance of the revised T&Cs. You can obtain previous versions at first demand. If you do not accept the new T&Cs, you must stop using our Services and terminate your account immediately.

How to access and use our Services?

Account registration and termination

To access the full functionality of our Services, including integration with the Request Network API, you must create a user or developer account by providing the required information and keeping it up to date. Failure to maintain accurate and current details may result in limited access or service interruptions. If you forget your password, you can reset it using the "Forgot your password?" option by entering your registered email address. You will receive instructions for setting a new password.

Your account may grant access to multiple services and environments provided by Request Network and its affiliated modules. We reserve the right to extend or limit such access depending on compliance, technical compatibility, or integration requirements.

If you are a minor or a legally protected person, you represent that you have obtained authorization from a parent, guardian or legal supervisor, who agrees to ensure your compliance with these T&Cs.

You may terminate your account and stop using our Services at any time, unless we or our integration partners suspect that the termination is intended to avoid compliance review or investigative actions. To request account closure, contact us at support.api@request.network

Please note that Request Network does not charge recurring fees or operate under a subscription model. Any usage-based fees or charges (such as per-request processing costs on-chain) will be communicated transparently at the time of execution and are non-refundable once a request is finalized or confirmed on the blockchain.

Confidentiality and use of the account

You are responsible for securing your login credentials, API keys and access tokens. We recommend using strong, unique passwords and restricting credential access to authorized personnel only. You must store API keys in a secure environment and avoid exposing them in public code repositories or unsecured channels.

Request Network shall not be held liable for any unauthorized use, compromise or mismanagement of your credentials. You remain fully accountable for all actions taken using your access credentials, regardless of whether such actions were authorized by you.

You agree to indemnify and hold Request Network harmless from any claims, losses or damages arising from your failure to maintain appropriate security measures.

If you suspect that your credentials, account, or technical access information has been compromised or misused, you must immediately notify us at  privacy.api@request.network

Developer environment and integration requirements

Using our Services requires a properly configured and secure development environment. This includes having stable internet access, API request capabilities and the ability to manage cryptographic operations. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your technical infrastructure meets the minimum requirements for accessing and using the Request Network API.

You must have an environment capable of sending and receiving HTTPS requests, handling API keys securely and integrating with Ethereum-compatible wallets or signing tools. Inadequate configuration of your environment or the use of unsupported tools may result in the inaccessibility or improper functioning of the Services, without entitling you to any claim or compensation.

All costs related to the setup, maintenance and use of your development environment, whether for hardware, software, network access or technical integration, are exclusively your responsibility. Request Network does not provide support for legacy or insecure systems, nor does it guarantee compatibility with all programming frameworks, operating systems, or third-party dependencies.

Our Services are designed for backend systems and developer-controlled environments. Therefore, you must ensure your systems and code follow standard security practices to protect against unauthorized access and data exposure. We are not responsible for misconfigurations, insecure deployments, or any failures resulting from your internal development practices.

Availability of our Services

Our Services, including access to the Request Network API and related infrastructure, are generally available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Availability may be affected by scheduled maintenance, technical updates, unexpected outages, network congestion, or the availability of third-party services that our infrastructure interacts with, including IPFS nodes, blockchain networks, and off-ramp providers. We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the Services at any time and without prior notice if required for maintenance, legal compliance, risk mitigation, or security reasons.

Request Network operates on a best-effort basis and does not offer a service level agreement (hereinafter “SLA”) unless explicitly agreed to in writing between the Parties. No representations or warranties, express or implied, shall be deemed to create any guaranteed level of uptime or responsiveness outside of such written SLA.

We shall not be held liable for delays, downtimes, performance issues, or loss of access resulting from technical limitations, external dependencies, or force majeure events.

You are responsible for monitoring the operational status of the Services relevant to your implementation and for implementing fail-safes or alternative measures within your own infrastructure, where necessary.

Account suspension and deletion

Request Network reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or revoke access to any user account, project identifier, or API credentials that are deemed suspicious, abusive, inactive, or in violation of these T&C. Such actions may be taken without prior notice and shall not entitle you to any compensation, damages, or reimbursement.

Access may also be suspended or terminated in cases of suspected security breaches, unauthorized use, excessive request volumes beyond acceptable limits, or use of the Services for illegal, deceptive, or harmful purposes.

In addition, Request Network reserves the right to permanently deactivate any account or API credentials that remain unused (i.e., no valid API requests made) for a continuous period of 12 (twenty) months. You will be notified at the contact address associated with your account at least one month prior to such deactivation.

The suspension or deletion of your access credentials does not affect Request Network’s right to pursue legal remedies or seek compensation for any damages caused by violations of these T&C.

Use of Services, access conditions and content ownership

The Services, including but not limited to the Protocol, the Request Network API, SDKs, developer documentation, example code and technical integration materials, are intended for use by developers, integrators and partners seeking to build on or interact with the Request protocol. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all such content is the intellectual property of Request Network or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose, in accordance with applicable technical documentation, integration terms and applicable law. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Services or any part thereof without prior written consent from Request Network.

Request Network undertakes reasonable efforts to ensure that the materials made available through its Services are accurate, compliant with applicable law, and do not infringe third-party rights. However, absolute legal compliance or technical accuracy cannot be guaranteed. If you believe that any content or component of the Services violates applicable laws or infringes your rights, you are encouraged to contact us at support.api@request.network. All such reports will be reviewed in good faith and, where appropriate, necessary action will be taken.

Access to certain features of the Services, such as the API or third-party service integrations (e.g., for cross-chain or off-ramp payments), may be conditional upon prior verification, including Know Your Business (KYB) checks or other vetting processes mandated by Request Network or its service partners.

Request Network does not handle or custody funds and is not responsible for the execution, timing, accuracy, or security of transactions carried out via third-party services integrated through the Request API. Furthermore, Request Network makes no guarantees regarding uptime, performance, or availability of such third-party services and disclaims any liability arising from their use, including transaction slippage, execution delays, or failed interactions.

All use of the Request Network Services is subject to ongoing monitoring, and Request Network reserves the right to revoke access, suspend endpoints, or limit functionality in cases of non-compliance, abuse, excessive usage, or security concerns, at its sole discretion and without prior notice.

Our Services

The Services provide developers and integrators with access to infrastructure that facilitates on-chain payment tracking and web3 financial workflows. These services are accessible through a unified API that interacts with Request protocol smart contracts and integrates third-party providers to enable more advanced routing scenarios such as cross-chain transactions and off-ramp execution.

Request Network does not offer or provide custody, exchange, or transfer of crypto-assets. Instead, it acts as a middleware layer that facilitates interaction with other regulated service providers via its API.

All Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Request Network does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor does it guarantee any particular result. No advice or information obtained through the Services shall create any warranty unless expressly stated in a written agreement.

The Request Network API enables:

  • Creation and tracking of on-chain payment requests, based on the Request protocol smart contracts;

  • Routing and monitoring of cross-chain transfers via supported bridge and aggregation providers;

  • Off-ramp initiation, where available, via integration with third-party fiat payout services.

The use of these API functionalities may be subject to prior approval (e.g., KYB checks), rate limits and technical requirements as defined in the API documentation. Request Network bears no responsibility for the performance, availability, or compliance of any third-party services integrated via its API.

The use or access of the services offered by third-party service providers is subject to prior acceptance of the related third party’s Terms and Conditions.

Fees

Use of the Request Network API may involve transaction-based or volume-based fees, as communicated transparently at the time of execution of the said transaction. Third-party services accessed through the API may impose additional fees under their own terms, for which Request Network is not responsible.

Request Network reserves the right to update its pricing structure at any time. Changes will be communicated in advance and will only apply prospectively to future use of the Services.

Intellectual Property and Use of Materials

Unless otherwise specified, all intellectual property rights including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, logos, domain names, SDKs, documentation, APIs, and software code, related to the Services are the exclusive property of Request Network or its licensors and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws and international treaties.

You may not use, reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, translate, or otherwise exploit any part of the Services or documentation, except as explicitly permitted under the applicable API license or integration agreement. Any unauthorized use, including modification, resale, sublicensing, or scraping of any part of the Services or related resources, is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

Certain technical documentation or example code may be shared for developer use under separate open-source or permissive licenses, which must be explicitly referenced. Where no such license is granted, the default rights remain reserved.

User Contributions

To the extent that any functionality of the Request Network Services allows you to submit technical contributions, code, bug reports, or feedback, you grant Request Network a non-exclusive, royalty-free, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, and incorporate such contributions into its Services or documentation. You affirm that you have the legal right to grant this license and that your content does not infringe third-party rights or applicable law.

Request Network reserves the right to remove or reject any user-submitted content that, in its sole discretion, poses a legal, reputational, or security risk, or infringes on the rights of others.

You are solely liable for any content you upload, post, share, or provide. You acknowledge and accept that Request Network does not filter or moderate such content. However, Request Network reserves the right to remove, delete, block, or rectify such content at its discretion and to, without prior notice, deny your access to our Services (i) if any complaint based on such content is received; (ii) if a notice of infringement of intellectual property rights is received; (iii) upon order of a public authority; or (iv) where Request Network is made aware that the content may represent a risk for other users, third parties and/or the availability of our Services.

The removal, deletion, blocking, or rectification of content shall not entitle anybody to compensation, damages, or reimbursement claims.

Third-party Services and External Resources

The Services may include integrations or connections to third-party services such as payment providers, bridge aggregators, or other decentralized applications. Request Network does not audit, endorse, or guarantee the integrity or security of these external services. You acknowledge and accept that your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to those providers' terms and conditions.

Request Network is not liable for any data loss, downtime, transaction failure, or damages resulting from the use of third-party integrations accessible via the API.

Access eligibility and verification requirements

Access to the Services or specific API functionalities may be subject to prior verification processes, including but not limited to Know Your Business (KYB) checks, due diligence procedures, or partner approval requirements. These processes may be required either directly by Request Network or indirectly by third-party service providers integrated via the API (e.g., off-ramp, cross-chain, private or fiat payout providers).

You acknowledge and agree that Request Network reserves the right to:

  • Require submission of business identification details, contact persons, and technical integration data;

  • Conduct non-intrusive checks to ensure appropriate usage of the Services;

  • Share submitted information with third-party providers where necessary to fulfill regulatory or integration requirements;

  • Deny, limit, or revoke access to parts of the Services based on risk assessment, jurisdictional restrictions, or failure to comply with verification processes.

Request Network does not perform customer-level KYC or financial crime screening independently but may enforce access controls or restrictions based on requirements from its partners. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your usage of the Services complies with all applicable laws, including anti-money laundering and anti-fraud obligations in your jurisdiction.

Access to Services may be suspended or terminated without prior notice if Request Network reasonably suspects that:

  • The Services are being used for unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes;

  • Supplied information is false, misleading, or materially incomplete;

  • Required checks or updates are not completed in a timely manner.

By using the Services, you confirm that your organization is eligible under applicable law to access blockchain-based infrastructure and that your use does not contravene any sanctions, embargoes, or regulatory restrictions.

Risk of cryptocurrencies and Blockchain systems

By utilizing our Services, you represent that you understand the inherent risks associated with cryptographic systems and warrant that you have an understanding of the usage and intricacies of native cryptographic tokens, like Ether (ETH), USDC, DAI and smart contract-based tokens such as those that follow the Ethereum Token Standard, protocols and blockchain-based software systems.

By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree:
(i) that Request Network or related entities are not responsible for the operation of the underlying cryptographic systems, software, and networks;
(ii) that there exists no guarantee of the functionality, security, or availability of such cryptographic systems, software and networks; and
(iii) that the underlying protocols are subject to sudden changes in operating rules (known as "Forks"), and that such Forks may materially affect the Services.

Any use or interaction with cryptographic systems requires a comprehensive understanding of applied cryptography and computer science to appreciate inherent risks. You acknowledge that Request Network might discretionarily decide not to support (or cease supporting) forked networks or any network without prior notice. You also acknowledge and agree that Request Network assumes no responsibility whatsoever regarding any underlying software protocols, whether forked or not.

Our Services rely partly on third-party and open-source software, including the Ethereum Blockchain, and their continued development and support. There is no guarantee that those third parties will maintain their support of their software or that open-source software will continue to be maintained. This may have a material adverse effect on our Services.

You also acknowledge and understand that cryptography is a progressing field. Advances in code cracking or technical advances, such as the development of quantum computers, may present risks to cryptographic systems, software and networks. It could result in the theft or loss of any user’s cryptographic tokens or property.

You also understand that blockchain technologies and associated currencies or tokens are highly volatile due to many factors, including but not limited to adoption, speculation, technology, and security risks. You accept that the cost of transacting on such technologies is variable and may increase at any time, causing an impact on any activities taking place on any blockchain. You are responsible for identifying and satisfying all such additional fees and charges.

You acknowledge these risks and represent that Request Network or any related entity or person cannot be held liable for such fluctuations or increased costs. Request Network makes no guarantee as to the security of any blockchain or protocol. Request Network is not liable for hacks, double spending, stolen digital assets, or blockchain attacks.

The cryptographic systems, software, and networks, including our Services, could be impacted by one or more local regulatory inquiries or regulatory actions, which could impede or limit the ability of Request Network to continue to maintain its activities, or which could impede or limit your ability to access or use our Services.

Before interacting with any protocol, you must always conduct your own due diligence and ensure you comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including with respect to virtual assets, taxes, securities and other regulations in your jurisdiction.

Security and Compliance

Request Network enables you to initiate and track blockchain-based transactions through its protocol and API. All transactions are conducted directly by you, and you are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy and legality of any information submitted through our Services in connection with such transactions.

You are also solely responsible for evaluating the suitability, integrity, and security of any code, protocol, or integration used with the Services. Any risk notices provided by Request Network, whether in these T&C’s or elsewhere, are not exhaustive and do not create any ongoing obligation to warn you about all potential risks.

Transaction execution depends on external blockchain networks and may be delayed or fail due to network congestion, latency, or other external factors outside Request Network’s control. Once transaction details are signed and submitted via your wallet or integration, Request Network cannot modify or cancel them.

Request Network does not operate as a payroll, accounting, or tax compliance provider. It makes no representations or warranties that the use of its Services will enable you to meet any local, national, or international legal obligations. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards in your jurisdiction.
